(Practically) All about Kate

Once upon a time, a aggravated mother of a adventurous and untamed mountain boy, cursed him with these lines:

“I hope you have a child exactly like you!”

The curse worked. That boy is my father, and I am certainly a daughter just like him. The best response to this story is to pity my mother. Or else meet my father.

My name is Kate, and I’m right pleased to meet ya! Set yourself right down here on the porch for a spell, and tell me all about yerself! It’s mighty good to have visitors out to the farm!

I like to rise when the sun she rises, early in the morning/ and I like to hear those small birds singing, merrily along their way/ and hurrah for the life of a country (girl) and a ramble in the new-mown hay.

I love working on our farm! Milkin’ starts at 5 in the morning’, and I milk again at 5 in the evening. Hand milking is almost obsolete, and I do see why…it’s hard and ties you down, but let me assure you that it is full worth your time! I’m second-in-command when it comes to the farm, and it’s a amazing job I will never trade!
Other then farming, I play the harp at reenactments and the like, and I’m working on making something out of singing…that dream may come someday, who knows!
If you are a farmer or a rancher please leave me a note!

Random fact #1. I had my first marriage proposal when I was 11. He was 70, and like, married. It was very amusing, esp. since, at the time, I didn’t know what the phrase “hitched up” meant. LOL
Random fact #2. I have been called “Doctor Davis’s daughter” so many times I think it’s my real name.
Random fact #3. I firmly believe that you can both be feminine and carry knives.
Random fact #4. Lord of the Rings is the best trilogy ever written, without a doubt.
Random fact #5. It is the obvious mission of my family to generate as many dishes as possible. Really.

My goal is to be a Godly wife, mother, daughter, and teacher of my children! Is that not the best job a woman can have?
